A closed hourly diuresis system combining precise measurement, documented infection control with solutions on how to improve effectiveness in daily use.
The UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus Hourly Diuresis Monitoring System helps to prevent retrograde urinary tract infections*. In vitro study results have demonstrated that the system helps to prevent retrograde infection more effectively than traditional competitor devices.
In addition, the UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus has been designed to save nursing time and provide accurate urine measurement for all patients, even for low volumes, for various bed types and the mesurement is protected during transportation.

The design of UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus with the topmounted chamber, High performance filters and KombiKon™ helps to minimize the risk of retrograde infection*

The integrated filters delivers a documented 99,9% barrier against bacteria and virus* supporting system integrity

KombiKon™ provides a documented barrier against bacterial entry for up to 10 sample collections*

UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus has been developed to save nursing time and provide caregivers with the confidence of reliable urine measurement. The system has been designed with features to help optimize nurses' experience so they can focus on their patients.
Effectiveness and safety for caregiver and patient

Double lumen tube designed to secure continuous flow and accurate measurement
Documented accurate measurement also at low volumes due to continuous flow*
Non-return-valve in collection bag supports prevention of urine backflow to the chamber

Filter in the open/close function and emptying bag: The filter is hydrophobic, which supports unimpeded flow, also in wet conditions
Non-return valve at KombiKon™ connector protects against urine reflux during and after transportation and no risk of not un-clamping the tube after transportation
The KombiKon™ urine sampling port with transparent inspection window allows observation of urine build up to enable less waiting time and a fresh urine sample
The UnoMeter™ Safeti™ Plus does not lose the measurement in the chamber during transportation if placed with the front facing up

The UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus helps to prevent retrograde infection more effectively than traditional urine measuring devices with a front-mounted chamber*
An in vitro study compared the UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus and two front-mounted devices in preventing bacterial migration from the collection bag to the measuring chamber2
Percentage of Samples with Bacteria Growth
| Device | After 2 days | After 4 days | After 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Urine meter 1 | 75% | 100% | 100% |
| Urine meter 2 | 100% | 100% | 100% |
| UnoMeter™ Safeti Plus | 0% | 0% | 0% |
In vitro study: four samples were tested for each device and taken at set time intervals to show whether there was bacteria growth (n=4)

Summary of study results*, ²
Monitoring hourly diuresis is more than just a measurement. It is essential for detecting impaired fluid balance, renal insufficiency, or possible infections of critically ill patients.
While important to perform, catheterbased urine measurement can lead to CAUTI and additional treatment complications.
The prevalence of CAUTI
CAUTIs are the most common nosocomial infections in hospitals, accounting for >40% of all institutionally acquired infections.5
